My affinity for textiles and fabrics started long ago. It strengthened through my career in fashion and textiles, and it grew into a passion when I moved to Southeast Asia in late 1990s.

When I set up my textile venture, I travelled for a while to explore weavers and crafters in the region. Out of all the countries I visited, 2 countries left lingering impressions in my mind, which were Laos and Cambodia.

Laos for its profound weaving culture, and Cambodia for their determination to turn their silk tradition into a sustainable business.

I knew that I have found a basis for my textile venture. A great partnership was to be formed.
