Laos was once called the land of a million elephants. Elephants are still very much revered and liked by the people in Laos. Some folktales depicted in Lao textiles often feature elephants. 
 
This adorable elephant soft toy is made of organic cotton dyed traditionally with indigo plants. This elephant belongs to the Tai Lue tribe as the weaving draped on the back of the elephant is of Tai Lue motifs. Finished with fun pom-poms, also dyed in indigo.
